The Thrill of Flight

By Sara

The wind rushing through your ears

As you leave the ground

And enter the realm of clouds

Leaving your troubles

And entering a realm of peace and serenity

Your wings pound

In unison with your heart

As winds carry you along

Wing tips brushing fluffy white clouds

And all you see is purest blue

You twirl through gentle rains

And let it wash away your troubles

Letting your conflict vanish like smoke

Leaving simple bliss

You soar through the skies

Never wanting to come down
